A few important items that one must carry on Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra are large plastic sheets for waterproofing your luggage, an LED torchlight, toilet paper, soap, wet napkins, toothbrush and paste, lip balm, sunblock cream, snow glasses/sunglasses, a hot water bottle, mobile charger, power bank, multipurpose knife, and so on.
Q. Am I allowed to carry cigarettes and tobacco on Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra?
Although there is no restriction on carrying cigarettes and tobacco, it is advised not to carry such things on Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra because firstly, it is a pilgrimage tour, and secondly fellow tourists may not feel comfortable with it. It is also advised to avoid such things at high altitudes.

Generally people do not feel the requirement for medicines during Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra. However, to be extra safe, it is advisable to carry some of the basic medicines. First of all it is essential to carry your regular medicines (if any) such as BP, Sugar, etc. Trip To Temples also recommends you to consult your doctor and carry some general medicines such as:

There is no weight limitation for the luggage; the list of items to carry on the Adi Kailash Yatra will be provided by our travel executive, such that you don't need to be worried about it. However, we provide duffle bag, backpack, cap, t-shirt with “I am Adi Kailashi” inscribed on it, and a key ring to all the yatris in Dharchula. We leave excess luggage in Dharchula and only carry necessary luggage for upto 3 days in the duffle bag (with a unique number for identification) and backpack provided as they are easy to carry during the yatra. While returning, yatris collect their luggage from Dharchula and proceed to Chaukori/Didihat.
Q. Do I need to carry my trekking equipment on Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra?
You just need to carry good-quality walking/jogging shoes that you regularly use on the Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra. In case you have a knee problem, you can carry a stick for your support.

Yes, you can carry your own food items on the trip. However, we will take care of your meals. You will be provided freshly cooked, pure vegetarian, no onion, no garlic meals, three times a day on Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra.
Q. Which type of luggage bag should I bring on the Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra?
One large duffle bag with a cover for luggage and one small backpack to keep essentials intact during trekking. It is advisable not to carry trolley bags, airbags, briefcases or bags with wheels for your own comfort, as you'll have to carry your bag, and it might be difficult for you to do so. That's why you should pack light and travel worry-free.
