YOUR ITINERARY (DAY WISE)

Day-1

Kathmandu Arrival

When you arrive at Kathmandu Airport our representative will receive you and transfer you to the hotel. Briefings will be given regarding the Kailash Mansarovar tour by our representative in the evening at 7:00 p.m.  Dinner and overnight stay in a 3-star hotel  (Hotel Vaishali, Manang, or similar).

 

Day-2

Kathmandu Sightseeing

After breakfast, we will proceed to Kathmandu sightseeing, sightseeing, covering holy temples like Pashupatinath Temple, Jal Narayan Temple, and other places. Complete your preparation and packing for further yatra in the evening. Overnight stay in a 3-star hotel (Hotel Vaishali, Manang, or similar)

 

Day-3

Kathmandu to Dhunche or Syabrubesi

After breakfast, we will drive to Dhunche, which is  2000 m above sea level and covers  130 km in 6 hours, or else to Syabrubesi, which is  1600 m above sea level  and covers 145 km in 6.5 hours. Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day-4

Drive to Kyirong County

Drive to Rasuwagadhi from Syabrubesi, which is 1800  m above sea level and covers 15 km in 45 minutes. At Rasuwagadhi, immigration and customs formalities will happen here for exiting Nepal and entering Tibet. After immigration continue to Kyirong County (3950 ) in 3 hours, covering 105 km, Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day-5

Acclimatization Kyirong County

Your entire day is free as you will acclimatize for the Kailash Mansarovar tour. In preparation for the further Kailash Yatra trek, we might go for short treks. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day-6

Drive to Dongba / Saga

After breakfast, we will drive to Dongba, covering 335 km in 7 hours, passing through Thorong La, Paige-Tso Lake, and the Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay at hotel  (Xixa Panama, Mu being Chung or similar).

Day-7

Dongba to Mansarovar Lake

Wake up early in the morning and drive to Mansarovar Lake,  which will take around 7 hours, passing through beautiful places. We will be completing the Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake by vehicle in approximately approximately 2-3 hours, covering 105 km. Overnight stay at a guest house near the shore of the Holy Lake Mansarovar and get the first glimpse of the divine Holy Mount Kailash.

Day-8

Lake Mansarovar to Darchen

Wake up early in the morning and witness the divinity of Mansarovar Lake. In the afternoon,  take a dip in the holy Lake Mansarovar and perform puja (prayer ritual) at Mansarovar Lake. After completing the holy bath, we drive to Darchen for approximately 2 hours and stay  overnight in the hotel.

Day-9

First Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash

If we get the permit from Chinese authorities, then we drive to Ashtapad, or else, after the short drive from Lake Mansarovar, we will drive to Yamdwar and begin the trek to Dirapuk, which is a 10-kilometer trek on the first day of Mount Kailash Parikrama. Get enlightened and feel blessed by the darshan of the North Face of Mount Kailash on the first day of Parikrama, which is considered to be most auspicious. Those who will not be going for Parikrama will travel from Yamdwar to Darchen, which is just 30 minutes away, and stay there in a guest house for 2 nights and enjoy the undeniable view of the holy Mount Kailash.
Important: Parikrama is optional. Few would be doing Parikrama by walking, a few by horse, and a few old people may not be doing Parikrama. Those who are not doing Parikrama will return from Yam Dwar to the Guest House at Darchen. We will arrange meals and accommodations there. Holy Mount Kailash is easily visible from there, and one can do puja from there too. 
People staying at Darchen will join other group members in the first half once they complete the third day of Parikrama

 

Day-10

Second Day Parikrama of Mount Kailash

Wake up early on your second day of Kailash Parvat Parikrama and start your trek of 22 km from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and then to Zuthulpuk. It is also said to be the most difficult part of the journey throughout the Kailash Parvat Yatra, as you will be trekking up to 18,600 feet above sea level. From Dolma La Pass, descend to Gauri Kund and further trek along the river to Zuthulpuk.
Overnight stay: lodge or guest house.
On the 2nd day of your Mount Kailash Parikrama, the first 6-7 km (till Dolma La Pass at 5600 m) has a very steep climb and is also considered the most difficult part of the Yatra. All the yatris who are doing the Parikrama of Kailash Parvat are advised to take a comfortable time to cover it and rest whenever and wherever they feel any kind of problem. After the first 6-7 km, the remaining 16 km are comparatively plain, downward, and comfortable. 
Important: You will pass through Shivasthal (a sacred place for Tibetans; it is believed that whatever you offer here, you will get it in heaven) and Gauri Kund. After Dolma La Pass, it's a long, pleasant trek beside the river. You will see the east face of Mount Kailash here.

Day-11

Drive to Dongba / Saga

The third and last day of Mount Kailash Parikrama is around 8 km and takes almost 3 hours to complete. Generally, we complete the parikrama by 9:00–10:00 a.m. After completing Parikrama, we will drive to Darchen, merge with other members of the tour who didn't go to Mount Kailash Parikrama, and then drive to Dongba. Overnight stay in the hotel (Xixa Panama, Mu being Chung, or similar).

Day-12

Dongba to Kyirong

Start driving to Kyirong County—270 km/5.5 hours. Overnight stay at the hotel

 

Day-13

Drive to Kathmandu

Drive back to Kathmandu via the Rasuwagadhi border after completing immigration formalities. Total driving is around 8–10 hours, covering 265 km. Overnight stay at the Star Hotel (Hotel Vaishali, Manang, or similar).

Day-14

Departure from Kathmandu

After breakfast, you are free until your flight time. We will drop you at the Airport 1-2 hours before flight time (30 mins drive).

REGISTRATION PROCESS

  • Fill up the Kailash Yatra 2025 Booking Form, and scan a colored image of your passport.
  • Pay the non-refundable registration amount in a corporate bank account or online and mention the transaction number on the registration form.
  • Attach a self-attested copy of identity proofs, like a valid Indian passport (Mandatory), and two photographs.
  • Email Registration Form, Scan Valid ID Proofs & Transaction Number on Email: info@triptotemples.com (cc accounts@triptotemples.com & adik@triptotemples.com) & courier originals self-attested copies to us on office address. 

 Send 1 month before the Yatra Date:

  • Original self-attested physical fitness certificate from any MBBS doctor, not more than 1 month old from the Yatra date. (Ask for a format from us.).

⮚ Carry the original passport (2nd option) during the yatra.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

It is our most important aim that you enjoy your yatra and that we earn your trust. However, we are not responsible for any cancellation due to any industrial disputes, Technical failure of any type of transport we use, loss of earnings, late arrivals or force majeure, any regulations by Tibetian or Chinese authorities, or any items beyond our control. After booking, if you wish to cancel your trip, you must notify Trip To Temples in writing. Once Trip To Temples receives your notice, the cancellation will take effect subject to the following:

  •  If cancellation takes place in between 45 – 150 days prior to your departure date, your full payment will be refund except the non- refundable deposit of USD 300 (For NRI / Foreign Passport holders) / INR 15000 (For Indian Passport holders).
  • If cancellation takes place in between 30-45 days prior to departure 75% of your payment will be refund except the non-refundable deposit of USD 300 (For NRI / Foreign Passport holders) / INR 15000 (For Indian Passport holders).
  • If cancellation takes place less than 30 days before departure due to the client’s problems, all previously paid amount(s) will be forfeited.
