YOUR ITINERARY (DAY WISE)

Day-1

Lucknow / Kathmandu Arrival

Arrive in Kathmandu or Lucknow and reach the hotel where you will be having dinner and staying overnight at the 4-star Hotel.

Day-2

Kathmandu / Lucknow to Nepalgunj

After breakfast, we will drive from Lucknow to Nepalgunj for around 4-5 hours in the AC coach. People arriving in Kathmandu will go to Nepalgunj by flight. Yatra briefing in the evening.Overnight at Nepalgunj in Hotel Siddhartha or similar.

Day-3

Nepalgunj - Simikot- Hilsa - Purang

Early morning proceeds towards the airport and catches the flight for Simikot. After reaching Simikot, rest for a few hours and then fly to Hilsa by helicopter, wait for other group travellers to join, and then drive to Purang.Overnight stay at Hotel Purang.It's a 40–50 minute flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot, and then a 20–25 minute helicopter flight from Simikot to Hilsa.

Day-4

Acclimatization at Purang

After reaching Purang, your entire day will be free, where you will acclimatize and might also go for a short trek in preparation for Mount Kailash Parikrama. Overnight stay at Hotel Purang. Purang is a small and very clean town with lots of shops and stores on both sides of the road for purchasing necessary items for further Yatra, like trekking sticks, water gallons for storing Holy Mansarovar water, some packed juices, and other things.
 Some bargaining happens here at almost all shops. It's a pleasant experience to roam around Purang, meet people, and know their culture.

 

Day-5

Purang to Mansarovar Lake

You’ll be visiting the Holy Mansarovar Lake in the AC Volvo category bus, which is around a 2-hour journey, and after you reach the  Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake.Complete Holy Lake Parikrama of approx. 105 km, take a holy bath, and perform puja at Divine Lake Mansarovar, praying for the world's betterment. While you reach Mansarovar Lake, en route, see the first-ever glimpse of Kailash Parvat. It's an overwhelming experience to see Divine Mount Kailash, just next to Holy Lake Mansarovar, while taking a bath. Overnight stay at Guest House near Lake Mansarovar.

 

If weather permits, you can visit Lake Mansarovar in the night or early morning (Brahm Muhurt) too to witness the divinity of the place.

 

Day-6

Mansarovar to Darchen

After breakfast near Lake Mansarovar, we will proceed to Darchen, which is the base for Kailash Parikrama. The evening is free for leisure; you can prepare yourself for the parikrama and have some rest.

 

Day-7

First Day Outer Parikrama of Mount Kailash

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will be proceeding towards Yamdwar and then trekking to Dirapuk, which is 10 km from Parikrama. Get blessed with the darshan of the North Face of Mount Kailash during the first day of Parikrama, which is considered to be the most auspicious.
It is suggested to do the outer Parikrama by trek only when Pony is available (on a paid basis), which will help to gain trek practice for the inner Parikrama trek.

 

Day-8

Second Day Outer Parikrama of Mount Kailash

On the second day, we will head for the trek to the Charansparsh of Mount Kailash, which takes approximately 3-5 hours and 5-7 km. Here we can have a closer look at the North Face of Mount Kailash. After our return, we will utilize the day for the rest, so we feel ready for the next 22-km trek.

Day-9

Third Day Outer Parikrama of Mount Kailash

Early in the morning, we will be starting the trek of 22 km from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and then reaching Zuthulpuk. It is considered the most difficult part of the Outer Parikrama Route since you’ll be going up to 18,600 feet above sea level.From Dolma La Pass, descend to Gauri Kund and further trek along the Karnali River to Zuthulpuk, where you’ll be staying overnight in a lodge or guest house.
The first 6-7 km (till Dolma La Pass at 5600 m) of the second day has a very steep climb and is the most difficult part of the yatra.All the yatris are advised to take a comfortable time to cover it and take rest wherever they feel a problem. After the first 6–7 km, the remaining 16 km are comparatively plain, downward, and comfortable. 
Important: On the 2nd day of Parikrama, you will pass through Shivasthal (a sacred place for Tibetans who believe that whatever you offer here, you will get it in heaven) and Gauri Kund. After DolmaPass,Pass, itlong, long, pletrekeside the river. You will see the elastase of Mount Kailash here.

 

Day-10

Drive to Darchen

After a short trek, you  reaches Darchen. Overnight stay at Darchen.

Day-11

Drive to Purang

After breakfast, drive to Purang. Overnight stay at Guest House.

Day-12

Hilsa - Nepalgunj - Kathmandu / Lucknow

Drive to Hilsa by AC luxury vehicle, fly back to Simikot by helicopter, then to Nepalgunj by flight, and then drive to Lucknow or fly to Kathmandu. Overnight stay at the 4-Star Hotel.

Day-13

Kathmandu / Lucknow departure

  • Fill up Kailash Yatra 2025 Booking Form, scan colored image of your passport
  • Pay the non-refundable registration amount in a corporate bank account or online and mention the transaction number on the registration form.
  • Attach a self-attested copy of identity proofs, like a valid Indian passport (Mandatory), and two photographs.
  • Email Registration Form, Scan Valid ID Proofs & Transaction Number on Email: info@triptotemples.com (cc accounts@triptotemples.com & adik@triptotemples.com) & courier originals self-attested copies to us on office address. 

 Send 1 month before the Yatra Date:

  • Original self-attested physical fitness certificate from any MBBS doctor, not more than 1 month old from the Yatra date. (Ask for a format from us.).

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

It is our most important aim that you enjoy your yatra and that we earn your trust. However, we are not responsible for any cancellation due to any industrial disputes, Technical failure of any type of transport we use, loss of earnings, late arrivals or force majeure, any regulations by Tibetian or Chinese authories or any items beyond our control. After booking, if you wish to cancel your trip, you must notify Trip To Temples in writing. Once Trip To Temples receives your notice, cancellation will take effect subject to the following:

  •  If cancellation takes place in between 45 – 150 days prior to your departure date, your full payment will be refund except the non- refundable deposit of USD 300 (For NRI / Foreign Passport holders) / INR 15000 (For Indian Passport holders).
  • If cancellation takes place in between 30-45 days prior to departure 75% of your payment will be refund except the non-refundable deposit of USD 300 (For NRI / Foreign Passport holders) / INR 15000 (For Indian Passport holders).
  • If cancellation takes place less than 30 days prior to departure due to client’s personal problems, all previously paid amount(s) will be forfeited.
