Rs. 1,00,000/-

Uttar Pradesh Government offers a subsidy of INR 1 Lakh to support pilgrims undergoing pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar. The subsidy is provided to every pilgrim of Uttar Pradesh who has been to Kailash Yatra by the government or by any private travel agent. This subsidy can be availed of once in a lifetime. It is been handled by the Department of Religious Affairs, Uttar Pradesh, which was established on 19th December 1985, aiming to execute welfare for dharmarth institutions and temples of Uttar Pradesh successfully. All temples & religious places of state come under the jurisdiction of the Department of Religious Affairs, U.P.

How to avail of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra subsidy in UP?

Step 1: Visit www.updharmarthkarya.in 

Step 2: Click on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Subsidy form

Step 3: Fill out the form and provide all required documents like a Yatra certificate, Yatra bill, copy of VISA, etc

Step 4: Submit the form with the correct banking details

Step 5: After submission, you’ll receive an email & message from the UP Religious Affairs department, after the department verifies the received applications and sends a bill to the Government for a subsidy amount.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Subsidy In Rajasthan

Rs. 1,00,000/-

The Government of Rajasthan offers a subsidy of INR 1 Lakh to support Kailash Mansarovar Yatris. The Ministry of External Affairs in Rajasthan has formed a special department named the Devasthan Department, which provides help for pilgrimages to sacred places throughout India. The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra subsidy is provided under the scheme ‘Assistance to devotees for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra,’ started on 1st April 2011, to encourage pilgrimage activities in their state. The scheme is limited to 100 pilgrims generally, if more than 100, then a lucky draw will happen, and this grant can be availed once in a lifetime.

How to avail the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra subsidy in Rajasthan?

Step 1: Apply for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

Step 2: The grant application will be released online on the given date by the Devasthan department (usually done from June to September). 

Step 3: Submit a printed application form along with the required documents within two months of completing your yatra for an online aid

Step 4: In case of granting aid through an offline application, download your application and submit it to the Assistant Commissioner's Office, Devasthan Department. 

The offline process of the application will be valid only when special instructions are issued for the same.

Step 5: If more applications are received than the prescribed quota, the pilgrims might get selected by lottery (computerized draw of lots).

Step 6: For the selection process, Kailash Mansarovar Yatris need to appear before the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, with their original documents in the office of the concerned Sub Divisional Officer / Assistant Commissioner, Devasthan, within two months of completing the trip.

Step 7: If the given information is found all correct, officials will mark your application for subsidy sanction within 15 days after inquiry with the Assistant Commissioner, Devasthan department. 

PS: After a detailed verification of documents, the applicable subsidy will be sent online to pilgrims' accounts through the Devasthan Department. The banker's check / Demand Draft will be done by the account payee as per departmental status.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Subsidy in Haryana

Rs. 50,000/-

The state of Haryana offers a grant of Rs 50,000 per pilgrim who completes the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. The scheme is named Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Scheme, 2016, and commenced on the 1st of April. The subsidy is provided only to pilgrims who are residents of Haryana, and have a passport with a permanent address, provided that the pilgrim has completed their yatra through the Ministry of External Affairs (Government of India).

Eligibility conditions for the scheme

• Financial assistance shall be admissible to the permanent resident of Haryana
• The pilgrim should complete their Yatra through the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and the completion certificate in this regard must be obtained from the same after enclosing their application
• The subsidy will be given to each pilgrim only once in a lifetime
• Pilgrim shall apply within two months after completion of the Yatra through the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India, to the Director of the Tourism Department, Haryana
• After scrutinizing the pilgrim’s documents, the Director of the Tourism Department, Haryana, shall submit the same within 15 days to the Administrative Secretary, Government of Haryana, Tourism Department for approval
• Thereafter, the requisite sanction shall be issued for payment of the subsidy through a demand draft

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Subsidy in Tamil Nadu

Rs. 50,000/-

The subsidy for pilgrims of Tamil Nadu visiting Kailash Mansarovar was introduced by the Late CM Jayalalitha. Earlier, the subsidy was granted to only 500 pilgrims, but now the grant is provided to 1000 pilgrims per year. The Tamil Nadu government is now providing a grant of INR 40,000 to pilgrims visiting Kailash Mansarovar and Rs 10,000/- to those visiting Muktinath.

To avail of the subsidy, one should be a native of Tamil Nadu by providing valid documents proving they’ve been to Yatra. The subsidy is provided under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Tamil Nadu.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Subsidy in Karnataka

Rs. 35,000/-

The state of Karnataka offers a subsidy of INR 35,000 to domiciled pilgrims of Karnataka. The subsidy is offered when a pilgrim completes their yatra by the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The state is giving subsidies to encourage and support pilgrims, which can be availed of once in a lifetime.

To avail of the subsidy, they need to visit the official website of the Government of Karnataka, www.temples.karanataka.gov.in, and fill out the subsidy form available there. Or they can visit the office of the Commissioner of Religious and Charitable Endowments in Bangalore.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Subsidy in Chhattisgarh

The government of Chhattisgarh grants a subsidy of INR 50,000 to the natives of Chhattisgarh after yatra completion. The amount was increased from INR 25,000 to 50,000 on the 13th of August 2013; contact the Tourism Department of Chhattisgarh to avail of this subsidy. The government of Gujarat gives INR 23,000 as a subsidy to the native residents of Gujarat after they complete the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The government organizes a function to distribute the subsidy, and the Yatra Dham Department of the Gujarat Government looks after all the religious schemes of Gujarat. Madhya Pradesh government introduced a subsidy of INR 30,000 for Kailash Yatra pilgrims in 2006, under which anyone who completes their yatra with the Ministry of External Affairs can avail subsidy. The motive for providing subsidies was to support pilgrims financially, hence, the Department of Religious Trust & Endowment, Government of Madhya Pradesh looks after the subsidies for pilgrimages. The State Government of Delhi provides a subsidy of INR 30,000 to pilgrims who complete the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Under the Scheme ‘Mukhyamantri Tirth Yojana,’ any pilgrim who is domiciled in New Delhi can apply for a subsidy which can only be taken once in a lifetime.
