Assam Meghalaya Tour (4 Night / 5 Days)

Upon arrival in Guwahati, you will be transferred to Shillong, a city renowned for its lush landscapes. En route, visit Umiam Lake, a serene reservoir surrounded by verdant hills. After spending some time at the lake, continue your journey to Shillong. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. You can relax for the day or explore the city on your own. Recommended attractions include Phan Nonglait Park, Ward's Lake, Police Bazar, and the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.                                   

In the morning, you will be driven from the hotel to Tyrna Village for an exhilarating Nongriat Trek. Along the journey, enjoy the vibrant landscapes of Meghalaya. Upon reaching Tyrna Village, you will descend approximately 3,500 steps to Nongriat and visit the awe-inspiring Double Decker Living Root Bridge (closed on Sundays). Afterward, you can extend your hike to the Rainbow Falls at an additional cost. Later, you will be driven back from Tyrna Village to the hotel for an overnight stay at Cherrapunji/Shillong. 

After checking out of the hotel, get driven to Dawki with a stop at Mawlynnong, famed as the ‘Cleanest Village of Asia.’ Trek to the Single Decker Living Root Bridge in Riwai Village and take time to marvel at the fascinating Balancing Rock. After your trek, continue toward Dawki. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel, and later, you can explore the town at your own pace, visiting the pristine Umngot River, known as one of the cleanest rivers in India.

After checking out of the hotel, you'll be driven to Shnongpdeng Village, where you can indulge in adventure activities such as kayaking and boating (at an additional cost). Following these activities, continue your journey to Shillong. En route, visit the beautiful Krang Shuri Waterfalls, nestled amidst lush forests. The falls cascade down from a height of about 40 feet into a crystal-clear blue pool, offering a picturesque spot for relaxation. Swimming is permitted in the pool, with life jackets available for safety. Also, enjoy a hike on the stunning trails of Laitlum Canyon, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Once you reach your hotel in Shillong, check in for an overnight stay.​

In the morning, check out of the hotel and board your transfer to Guwahati. Upon arrival, visit the Kamakhya Devi Temple, one of the oldest and most revered centers of tantric practices, dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya. After the visit, continue your journey to the Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your departure. This is where your trip comes to an end. Drop off at Guwahati Airport/ Railway Station.
