The Overland Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025 has resumed following a temporary suspension caused by the Gyirong bridge collapse. Tibetan authorities have swiftly implemented an alternative solution for the Overland Yatra following the infrastructure setback. The Kodari-Nyalam route has been designated as the primary pathway for the Kailash Yatra 2025, replacing the previously used Syabrubesi-Gyirong route that became inaccessible due to the bridge collapse recently.

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025 will continue to commence from Kathmandu, along the traditional starting point for Indian pilgrims. However, instead of the Syabrubesi-Gyirong route, pilgrims will now travel via the Kodari-Nyalam route, which has been fully operational and upgraded to accommodate the increased pilgrim traffic. The itinerary will remain the same for the overland, but the itinerary section that includes the Syabrubesi-Gyirong route will be changed to the Kodari-Nyalam route. Afterwards, pilgrims will reach Saga, and the same itinerary continues from there onwards.
