Kailash Mansarovar Nathu-La pass route: There are many people who choose the Nathu-La pass route for the Kailash Yatra. This is one of the routes recommended by the Ministry of External Affairs in India. However, since relations between India and China are not too good, the route was closed off for some time last year. It has been reopened now. The route is dependent on the political atmosphere prevalent at the time and thus this may not be a route you want to use for your journey.

Mansarovar Kailash by Helicopter: For people who want to choose convenience, going for the Kailash Yatra by Helicopter is the perfect option. Not only is this way a lot more comfortable and convenient, but it also does not demand too much from the pilgrims. There is no reason to trek a lot because most of the journey will be done on airplanes, helicopters and AC vehicles. This also means that it is a route that children and older people will have no trouble with. If you choose to go by helicopter, then it will take you anything between 5 and 11 days to complete the journey. You can start the Yatra from Kathmandu or Lucknow depending on your preference.

Manasarovar Kailash by Road: The pilgrims willing to explore Kathmandu choose this route. They start the Kailash Yatra by seeking the blessings of Pashupatinath Ji. The Manasarovar Yatra by Bus is the most affordable route to visit Kailash Mansarovaram. It will take around 13 to 15 days to complete the Kailash journey through this route. The Kailash Yatra through Overland route is preferred by people who want to enjoy the scenic route and spend most of the time in the Land of Shiva

The purpose of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

Going on the Kailash Yatra is about one’s faith and belief in Lord Shiva. He is the destroyer and the creator, he is the protector and it is with him that the ancient Hindu scriptures were entrusted with.
