Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Package from Delhi

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra can be undertaken by two routes, one is the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India route and the other is the Nepal route of Private companies. 

One can start Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Delhi by the Government of India route. The Indian Government following the designated route takes pilgrims to Tibet directly from India through two borders: the Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand and the NathuLa Pass in Sikkim. 

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Nepal route starts mainly from Lucknow or Kathmandu. The yatris cannot directly enter Tibet from India by the private companies route, so all the yatris have to transit via Nepal to enter Tibet. Most of the private companies offer Mansarovar Yatra Package from Lucknow or Kathmandu, hence one has to reach either Lucknow or Kathmandu from Delhi to go on the Yatra to Kailash Mansarovar with a private operator.

Delhi to Kailash Mansarovar by Flight- 

There are no direct flights between India and Tibet. You can take a flight from Delhi to Lucknow or Delhi to Kathmandu. After reaching Lucknow you can join the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Helicopter Group or after reaching Kathmandu you can join the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Bus Group as well as Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Helicopter Group to continue your journey to Kailash Manasarovar. 

Delhi to Lucknow Flight- Air India, Air Asia, Indigo, and Vistara offer flights between Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and Chaudhari Charan Singh International Airport (LKO). The fastest flight between these destinations takes approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes.

Delhi to Kathmandu Flight- Nepal Airlines, Indigo, Vistara, and Air India offer flights between Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). The fastest flight between these destinations takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Delhi to Kailash Mansarovar by Train- 

The rail network between India and Tibet is still not developed. One can either take a train from Delhi to reach Lucknow for joining the Helicopter Kailash Yatra Group or take a train from Delhi to Gorakhpur and then a bus from Gorakhpur to reach Kathmandu for joining the Helicopter or Bus Kailash Yatra Group. 

There are many Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Super Fast, Express, Sampark Kranti, and other trains available between Delhi and Lucknow as well as Delhi and Gorakhpur. The time taken by the fastest train between Delhi and Lucknow is 6 hours and 25 minutes approx and between Delhi and Gorakhpur is 11 hours and 20 minutes approx.

Delhi to Kailash Mansarovar by Road-

The distance from Delhi to Kailash Mansarovar is about 1800 km. Delhi is located at a distance of 580 km approx from Lucknow (10 hours approx drive) and 1100 km approx from Kathmandu (24 hours approx drive). There are plenty of bus and taxi services available that one can take between these destinations. The beautiful scenery along the route is soothing to the eyes. After reaching Lucknow or Kathmandu on your own, you will join the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra Group to continue your journey to the Holy Land of Lord Shiva. 

Hilsa is the Nepal-Tibet border for the helicopter route of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and Rasuwagadhi is the Nepal-Tibet border for the bus route of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
