Trekking to Kedarnath at night is not advisable for safety reasons. The route is steep, remote, and passes through forested and landslide-prone areas. It is recommended to complete the trek in daylight with proper rest and hydration.

From Rishikesh, Badrinath is about 295 km by road. You can take a shared jeep, private cab, or bus via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Joshimath, and Govindghat. The journey takes around 10–12 hours, depending on weather and road conditions. Regular government and private buses are available during the Yatra season. Note: if you are travelling by your car, then you have to take permission in Rishikesh.
